General InformationIn the next pane you can choose the character set for your mailing as well as the scripting language. We're going to leave these as their default for this mailing example. However, should you need to send a mailing in a language other than Western European (appropriate for English), you can choose that option here. Mailer can also send mailings in standard unicode format, with extended character sets. However, since many email programs still rely on the ASCII character set, you may choose to allow the smaller character set (8-bit characters) in the message header (describing, for example, the destination email address for your email).
Mailer Gold also includes powerful external scripting language support. Mailer's scripting language allows you to program the contents of each message. You can choose to use PHP, Javascript, or Visual Basic as scripting languages for your mailings. When you select one of these other choices, you may also need to enter additional information. For example, in the case of PHP, you need to tell Mailer where it can find the PHP executable (php.exe) to use to parse the mailing. PHP is not included with Mailer, but is available for free at http://www.php.net |
