Analyzer can store and manage many site analysis projects simultaneously for you. You may create a number reports with specific settings in them to do specific analysis tasks on your website.
Enter a name to identify this FastStats Analyzer project. This name will also be the name used for the project file itself in your projects directory.
You can enter an optional description for your project, so that you can better remember this particular project's purpose.
Analyzer by default looks up IP addresses and resolves them to domain names where necessary. Usually, Analyzer does not need to look up that many IP addresses, and under most circumstances, DNS lookup is fast and independent of your log size. If you check the Disable DNS button, however, Analyzer will never look up an IP address and try to resolve it into a domain name for your project. This may be necessary if you don't have access to DNS functionality from where you run your reports.
After you set a name and description for your project, you can configure the other elements of your report:
Site Information to set your site name, default page, and session cookie name.
Log File Location to tell Analyzer where to get log file data
Filters to analyze specific aspects of your site
File Tracking to help drill down on specific pages or sections in your site
Scenarios for tracking user progress through your site or assessing effectiveness of site changes
Tag Information to add useful tags to the HyperLink TreeView
Report Export Options to determine how and where Analyzer will export reports.
