Filter Wizard - Browsers

FastStats Analyzer allows you to filter log file data by the browser of the user accessing your web site.

The most common browsers are provided for you. Just select them from the drop-down list marked ‘Predefined browsers’. A special browser tag will appear below your selection.

Note: the browser tag is case sensitive (i.e. ‘Mozilla’ is different from ‘MOZILLA’).

Filtering for the Netscape browser is not entirely accurate. You should read additional help filtering for browsers for more information on the browser filtering process and filtering for Netscape.

Here is an example of the raw agent data outputted by Netscape and Internet Explorer:

Internet Explorer: "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT)"

Netscape: "Mozilla/4.51 [en] (Win95; U)"

You can customize what browsers Analyzer will recognize by editing the browsers.xml file
